The annual convention for the Wisconsin State Democratic Party will be changed to a virtual, one-day convention held June 12th.
That gathering was originally going to be at a Wisconsin Dells water park. Democratic Congressman Ron Kind says the move was inevitable due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The convention agenda will be more limited. Plans for a debate and vote on the party platforms and resolutions, plus caucus meetings and changes to the party constitution – all have been canceled.
As it stands now, the Democratic National Convention is still scheduled to start August 17th in Milwaukee.
