A junior college forward is the latest addition to the basketball roster at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The newest Panther is a six-foot-seven, 212-pound power forward from Canada. Tafari Simms has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Panthers after a solid season with Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas.
Simms hit 42 percent of his 3-point shots while averaging almost 12 points and seven rebounds-a-game.
Panther coach Pat Baldwin says Simms has a six-foot-11 wingspan and plays bigger than his size with a unique athleticism, especially on defense.
