A home in the Town of Rhine caught fire early yesterday morning.
Crews from the Elkhart Lake Fire Department were dispatched to N9132 Rhine Road just after 5:00 am to combat the blaze and were able to contain it to the exterior wall of the structure.
Properly functioning fire alarms are being credited with alerting the residents, which allowed them to escape without injury. An investigation is still ongoing as to what exactly caused the fire.
