A truck driven by an unnamed man crashed headfirst into a tree on Washington Street late yesterday morning.
The truck was driving east on Washington at around 11:15 AM, when he began to veer off the roadway. The truck struck the tree, and turned over onto its side, causing the tree to topple over, and debris to litter the road.
Video surveillance shows a concerned citizen immediately running to the aid of the man, and emergency services were called.
The man reportedly only received minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
When speaking with officers, he said the crash was caused by an uncontrollable cough, and police found no evidence of any traffic violations, or negligence.
