When Minor and Major League Baseball meets later today (Wednesday) to negotiate a new Professional Baseball Agreement, contraction will be on the table.
Baseball America is reporting the number of affiliated minor league teams will be reduced by 42. Short-season and rookie league baseball would be gone.
Minor League Baseball released a statement late Tuesday saying no new agreements have been reached on the number of teams moving forward.
