Major League Baseball players who were sent home from spring training aren’t just sitting around waiting to hear when they can get back on the field.
Relief pitcher Ray Black says this is a different experience, not knowing when the season will start, but Black says the Milwaukee Brewers strength staff has done a good job giving the players workout plans.
The hard-throwing right-hander is living on his family farm these days, and he’s staying in shape by doing things like filling a backpack with books before wearing it in a workout.
Black says not having a target date for the return is challenging, but he’ll be ready.
