The election may have been a week ago, but the votes were all tabulated yesterday, because of all of the absentee ballots coming in.
In the statewide elections, President Donald Trump won all the Republican delegates from Wisconsin in the race for President, while Democrat Joe Biden also won in a landslide.
In the race for State Supreme Court Justice, Jill Karofsky has been named the winner, defeating incumbent Dan Kelly. While that race was officially non-partisan, Democrats backed Karofsky and Republicans supported Kelly.
Wisconsin voters have also approved amending the state constitution to guarantee crime victims more rights.
The amendment, which supporters have dubbed “Marsy’s Law”, gives victims the right to seal information that could be used to locate them; the right to be heard at plea and parole hearings; and the right to opt out of defense attorneys’ civil depositions.
