Bail is set at $10,000 cash for a 39-year-old Two Rivers man wanted by authorities on a First-Degree Reckless Homicide charge dating back to June of 2018.
Gregory A. Schmidt is also charged with one count of Child Neglect. Two Rivers Police received information that Schmidt was at a residence in the 1300 block of 22nd Street.
They arrived on the scene early Tuesday morning with assistance from The Manitowoc County Sheriffs and Police Departments along with Two Rivers Fire.
After several failed attempts to get him out of the house, The Manitowoc County SWAT team was utilized to assist and Schmidt was eventually taken into custody without incident.
No one was injured. Conditions of bail are that Schmidt has no contact with any known drug dealers or users or with the child.
He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for April 13th at 1:30.
