A federal judge has refused to delay the April 7th presidential primary in Wisconsin, but he has ordered absentee voting to be extended.
U-S District Judge William Conley heard arguments Wednesday over whether the election should be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and a shortage of Wisconsin poll workers.
Republican interests immediately filed an appeal.
Conley’s ruling means people voting absentee will be able to put their ballot in the mail after election day.
He also relaxed the requirement that absentee voters have a witness sign a certificate.
