One Wisconsin gun shop owner says he went from about 10 customers-a-week to about 20-an-hour over the last few weeks.
Jesse Cartwright of Cartwright’s Guns and Ammo in Dodgeville says he has sold out his entire inventory three times during the coronavirus pandemic.
He says handguns and shotguns are used for security and at a time of fear and uncertainty, the “first priority is making sure that their family is safe.”
Wisconsin gun stores are just focusing on keeping their shelves stocked and their customers at least six feet apart.
