The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has topped 1,100.
One report Sunday night put it at 1,125.
A Waukesha County employee is among the deaths reported over the weekend, pushing the state total to at least 17.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says his city’s north side is being hit particularly hard.
He says he’s working with lawmakers to secure more resources at the city deals with the coronavirus pandemic.
In another problem area, Barrett says more than 1,000 poll workers have notified officials say won’t be working the April 7th election.
