The uncertain situation with professional sports during the coronavirus pandemic has a lot of ticket customers upset.
No organized plan to give refunds has been announced.
Teams are holding the money as a credit to be used when the games resume, but the problem is, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen any time soon – and a lot of the people who have money sunk into tickets now need that money to pay bills while they are laid off.
One estimate puts the consumer capital tied up in tickets to games which stuck in limbo at more than one billion dollars.
Ticketmaster and StubHub have policies of not refunding games that haven’t been officially canceled.
