Sixteen fire departments and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office all were called to a barn fire in the Town of Russell early yesterday morning.
Details are scarce, but we do know that the fire happened at N9570 Turba Court and was called in just before 2:00 AM. The barn was known to have contained a Jersey cow and a beef calf, as well as some wood working equipment, but the status of the animals is not known.
The structure was a total loss and no injuries were reported.
Responding departments included the St. Anna, New Holstein, Elkhart Lake, Kiel, Stockbridge, Hilbert, Potter, St. Cloud, Mt. Calvary, Greenbush, Forrest Junction, St. Nazianz, Harrison, Brillion, Eden and Chilton Fire Departments.
