The Oshkosh Area School District says it needs additional financial support so it can meet the demand of its free Grab-and-Go Meal Program.
The effort is aimed at making sure no child or student family goes hungry while classes are closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
The district does receive federal funds for feeding students, but it doesn’t get any government reimbursement for meals given to a student’s parent or guardian or siblings not of school age.
District officials say donated money will be used to cover the cost of feeding those who aren’t O-A-S-D students.
