With all the health and contamination concerns, breathing easy can sometimes be a concern.
SeehaferNews.com recently talked with Corey Klein of Smokey Barbier Heating in Manitowoc about a newer technology that cleans the air of most contaminants, including viruses, in your home.
Klein said it starts with, ultra-violet light on your forced air heating system. He explained that ultraviolet light will “zap and destroy mold, viruses, and bacteria.”
When this is combined with an odor absorption bar, which is essentially a piece of carbon that hangs over the UV light, you get photocatalytic oxidation. According to Klein, “What that does is it destroys living organism, like mold, fungus, bacteria, and viruses.”
Klein went on to explain; the Ultra-violet light is contained within the heating and cooling system and is the “Next Step” before a complete home air purifier.
While this feature sounds complex, Klein said it can be an easy retrofit, and would take a certified technician about an hour to complete.
The ultraviolet lightbar will work with most forced air systems.
