One of the top recruits for the University of Wisconsin has been named 2020 Mr. Basketball by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
Johnny Davis of La Crosse Central averaged 27.6 points-a-game for the Red Raiders as they reached the Division-2 sectional finals before the high school basketball season was ended by the coronavirus pandemic.
Another La Crosse standout, Aquinas guard Lexi Donarski, was named 2020 Miss Basketball after averaging more than 24 points and 7 assists-a-game for the Blugolds. She will play at Iowa State.
