High School Basketball teams have seen their season come to an end after the WIAA announced late last night that the tournament series is being canceled due to coronavirus concerns.
At the State Girls Tournament in Ashwaubenon, Mishicot & Melrose-Mindoro locked-up in a tight battle.
Brian Norton explains that The Indians fell to the Mustangs in overtime, 57-55. A half-court three point shot at the buzzer by Kalie Krueger hit the back of the rim and fell harmlessly to the ground.
Mishicot was led by Kylie Schmidt’s 24 points, while Desiree Kleiman added 11.
The Indians’ memorable season comes to an end with a record of 23-4.
