A judge has ordered a 28-year-old Milwaukee man be committed for life to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Kenneth Freeman learned his fate in Milwaukee County Court Thursday.
He had been found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect for beating Carlie Beaudin to death at Froedtert Hospital. The judge determined that institutional care is needed and he shouldn’t be released.
He was remanded into custody for transportation to a mental health facility Thursday.
