
The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association is out today with its’ All-State picks for Boys & Girls Basketball.
In Boys Division-4, Trey Zastrow, a 4-years starter for the Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers was selected First Team along with Ryan Claflin of Southern Door. Zastrow helped the lancers to a share of the Big East North division title averaging more than 20-points per game for the 3rd straight season. He finishes his career with 1,953 points. Named Honorable Mention were Roncalli senior Bryce Pautz & Kohler’s Carter Gebler.
The Division-5 All State unit includes Hilbert’s Adam Diedrich, & the Sheboygan Lutheran duo of Jacob Ognacevic and Casey Verhagen.
In Division-1, three local & area players were voted Honorable Mention: Mason Dopirak from Manitowoc Lincoln, Josh Govek from Sheboygan South & Logan Geissler of Bay Port.
In ‘D-3: earning Honorable Mention are Ryan Carmichael of Kewaunee, Jamison Nickolai of Sheboygan Falls & Cameron Jaeger from Oostburg.
The WBCA Girls Division-4 All-State squad is highlighted locally by Mishicot’s Kylie Schmidt, who was named to the first-team for a 2nd consecutive season. Kylie, a junior, has led the Indians to their first state appearance in program history by averaging 18.6 points, 10-rebounds, 3-assists & 2.5 steals per game.
Voted Honorable Mention are Mishicot’s Desiree’ Kleiman & Howards Grove’s Mackenzie Holzwart, both of whom are juniors.
And, in Division-3 Kewaunee’s Mackenzie Tlachac is first-team All-State.
