The defending national champion Wisconsin women’s hockey team has been added to the post-season field as an at-large player, despite losing to Ohio State in Sunday’s championship game of the W-C-H-A tournament.
The Buckeyes scored a goal 4:25 into overtime to claim a 1-0 win at Minneapolis.
Wisconsin dominated the action, outshooting Ohio State 41-26, but came up just short in the Final FaceOff.
The Badgers are seeded second and will meet Clarkson next weekend in the quarterfinals.
