Federal Jury Awards $1.67M For Unlawful Traffic Stop

A federal jury determined a driver had been unlawfully stopped, falsely arrested and then injured by a Milwaukee police officer in a ruling earlier this week.  Much of the 2010 incident was recorded on dashcam video.  The jury award was one-point-67 million dollars for Jimmy Harris – bringing to 21 million dollars the amount of money police misconduct has forced the city to pay in the last five years.  Harris was accused of driving a stolen car, but the car was his.
