The Milwaukee Brewers have called a Friday news conference to announce the biggest deal with a player in franchise history.
The news conference is scheduled for 11:00 A-M.
The teams plans to reveal details of a long-term contract extension with outfielder Christian Yelich at the spring training complex, American Family Fields of Phoenix.
The total package is expected to be worth $215 million for Yelich, but how it’s structured isn’t clear.
Assuming no opt-out clauses are included, it appears Yelich will likely finish his major league career with the Brewers.
