
A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she overdosed while with her child.
Police were called to the woman’s home in the 2100 block of South 12th Street at around 2:30 yesterday morning after her father reported her to be unconscious.
Officers found her in the bedroom while her child cried on the bed, and began administering first aid, including Narcan.
The woman’s mother told officers her daughter is a recovering heroin user, and actually found an orange tube with a used needle in it.
Officers also found a bindle of heroin, and after she was cleared at Holy Family Medical Center, she was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail.
The 31-year-old is facing charges of Neglecting a Child and Possession of a Schedule 1 and 2 Narcotic Drug.
