The City of Manitowoc is hosting its 150th Birthday Party later this month. Mayor Justin Nickels says it’ll be held Thursday, March 19th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Capitol Civic Center.
Nickels said that they will be having “birthday cake, some ceremonial beer that is being made for the event, and we will be showing a video.” The City has been working with Jason and Tina Prigge from Vagabond Studios for the past year on the video, which celebrates the past 150 years of the Clipper City.
The Manitowoc Creed will be available for businesses/citizens to sign and attendees will be able to submit contributions to the time capsule as well as their Letters For Tomorrow.
There will also be historical pictorial presentations available for viewing and so much more.
Nickels and former Mayor Kevin Crawford (the city’s two remaining Living mayors) will co-emcee the event. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
