The men’s basketball team at Holy Family College learned yesterday afternoon it has received a bid to the USCAA’s Division-1 National championships.
It marks the first trip to the national tournament in the history of the local program.
In just his 2nd season, Lakers head coach Brandt Danals has led his team to the most wins (14) in program history.
Holy Family College will travel to the tourney in Uniontown, Pennsylvania March 11th through the 14th. The Lakers will open as the number-6 seed in the 8-team field and meet the SUNY Delhi Broncos from Delhi, New York, the 3-seed, in the first round of the tournament Thursday, March 12th at 11am central time.
