
A four-year-old girl is expected to be okay after being hit by a vehicle while trying to get on the school bus yesterday morning in northwestern Wisconsin (Tuesday).
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office says the Winter School District bus was stopped with its lights on when an S-U-V driven by a Hayward woman passed on the right side and struck the student.
Deputies say the girl was under the front of the S-U-V when it stopped.
The victim was taken to a Hayward hospital and has since been released.
The driver was taken into custody for recklessly causing injury and was citied for multiple traffic offenses.
