The State Individual Wrestling Tournament has wrapped up at the Kohl Center and Two Rivers has a 3-peat State champion.
Terry Stake reported that Matti Bianchi of Two Rivers collected his third state championship in as many years, with one more year to go in his high school career.
Also earning 1st place finishes were Jack Severin of Kewaunee, and Gabe Wertel of Denmark.
A pair of area wrestlers earned silver medals, including Bailey Thelen of Two Rivers, and Brillion’s Garnett Stebane.
Finishing third was Ethan Schwatrz of Denmark, Reedsville’s Cole Ebert, and Frank Koeppel out of Mishicot.
