Authorities in Milwaukee County report six people suffered fatal overdoses in less than five hours Monday.
The victims were between the ages of 35-and-64 years old, including five men.
Investigators say the number of overdose deaths is “off the charts” compared to past years. At the current pace, Milwaukee County would experience more than 500 fatal overdoses this year – topping the previous high mark by 100.
