A Whitefish Bay man faces a life sentence after the jury found him guilty of first-degree intentional homicide Tuesday.
Matthew Wilks had been accused of shooting Tracey Smith last August while Smith was teaching her son to drive. Caleb Smith took the stand Monday to tell the court about the day his mother was killed.
Wilks had claimed Tracey Smith was yelling and threatening him, with her hand in her purse, when he fired. Other witnesses contradicted that version of the events.
