The Milwaukee man who was killed early Monday in an officer-involved shooting has been identified by his family as 27-year-old Lucas Alvarado.
Police say Alvarado ignored commands and flashed a gun at officers before he was fatally wounded. Three M-P-D officers have been placed on administrative duty and the Glendale Police Department is investigating.
Police were responded to a shots-fired call at about 1:00 A-M when they encountered Alvarado.
The family says he was out looking for a missing dog.
