
The WIAA has released its’ tournament brackets for divisions 1-5 in Boys High School Basketball.
In Division-1, Manitowoc Lincoln with a 13-8 record, will not have a first-round home game as the Ships drew a 9 seed. The Ships travel to #8 Mequon Homestead Friday night March 6th with the winner to play top-seeded Brookfield Central the following night. Sheboygan South gets the 10 seed & visits De Pere while Sheboygan North is #14 and is on the road for #3 Arrowhead.
In Division-4 Roncalli (18-3) and rated 7th in the state gets the #1 seed in the upper bracket of the Sheboygan South Sectional, and the Jets will face the Reedsville @ Random Lake winner on Friday, March 7th. Manitowoc Lutheran has the ‘4’ seed and an opening night bye with the Lancers meeting the Mishicot at Ozaukee winner. Kohler is the 2-seed & the Blue Bombers will host either #7 Howards Grove or 10-Sevastopol..and Southern Door got the 3 seed & will meet the Algoma at Cedar Grove-Belgium victor.
In Division-3 Sheboygan Falls, Oostburg, Chilton & Kewaunee are the top-4 seeds respectively for the Chilton Sectional. Two Rivers, which will serve as host of the Sectional championship game, gets the 9 seed and the Raiders travel to Denmark March 7th. The winner gets a matchup with the Falcons. Valders is the 10 seed & the Vikings will go to Campbellsport one week from tomorrow night. The winner there advances to face the Flying Dutchmen Kiel receives the 5 seed and hosts North Fond du lac and a Raiders victory would send them to Kewaunee. Chilton plays the winner of #11 New Holstein at #6 Sturgeon Bay.
And in Division-5: Hilbert gets the 4 seed in its’ Sectional bracket & the Wolves play host to #13 Oakfield, while top-ranked Sheboygan Lutheran is home for #16 University Lake/Trinity Academy both on Tuesday, March 3rd.
