A Public Forum on Poverty & Housing in Manitowoc County is being held tonight at Manitowoc City Hall.
According to Theresa Collins, Principal Consultant & CEO for Beacon Organizational Consulting, the League of Women Voters will host the forum beginning at 7pm in the City Council Chambers.
Collins indicated they’ll be a discussion about the current state of affordable and low-income housing, along with an availability of local shelters. She said they’ll look at other communities who are combating this issue as well, and what they’re doing to alleviate it.
Collins said members of the general public will be able to ask questions ahead of an announced LWV Poverty & Housing Study, results of which are scheduled to be released in June of 2021.
Tonight’s event at City Hall is free and open to the public.
