Voters in Manitowoc County selected Daniel Kelly & Jill Karofsky in that order to move on to the April 7th ballot for Supreme Court Justice.
Kelly drew 4,603 votes, Karofsky 2,029 and unsuccessful challenger Ed Fallone had 695 votes.
For Manitowoc County Board Supervisor in District 9 in Manitowoc, a three-way runoff ended with Ken Sitkiewitz and Dave Gauger advancing to April. Sitkiewitz was the leading vote Getter with 89 compared to Gauger’s 64 and 3rd place finisher Seth Damrow.
Also in the Tuesday Primary there were 5 candidates for the Mishicot School Board. The top 2 vote recipients are Shawn Driscoll with 382 and Nancy Koch with 310. Those winding up 3rd through 5th were Tanya Lenzner 239, Scott Willems 182 and Fran Kunz 154.
Manitowoc County Clerk Jessica Backus said in a news release last night that overall countywide voter turnout was 12% of eligible voters. She added that follows a trend of low turnout for elections in the month of February.
The election results will become official after the County Board of Canvass meets on Friday.
