An Assembly committee has given its approval to a plan to allow Wisconsin bars to remain open until 4:00 A-M while the Democratic National Convention is in Milwaukee.
The proposal still has to be passed by the Legislature and signed by Governor Evers. Thursday’s passage was unanimous.
Expanding those business hours was an idea supported by groups representing Wisconsin’s bars, restaurants and tourism industries.
The D-N-C will bring at least 50,000 visitors to the state next July for four days.
