The Wisconsin Department of Justice has been granted an additional six weeks to make its response to the appeal filed by convicted murderer Steven Avery.
The filing was due next week – now, the state has until March 27th.
Avery is appealing his 2007 conviction of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of photographer Teresa Halbach. She disappeared in October 2005.
