“Quite an honor” for Manitowoc Lutheran High School Basketball Coach Gordy Zastrow.
The Lancers boys varsity head man has been selected by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association as one of the coaches of the 2020 State All-Star games, scheduled for June 20th in Wisconsin Dells.
Zastrow will coach one of the two Division-4 boys team, which will be made up of the best players In the state as selected by the WBCA.
Zastrow’s assistant will be Howards Grove coach Wade Georgeff, a friendly rival in the Big East Conference.
Gordy Zastrow said in a press release he is “honored to be tabbed as an all-star coach, saying that it was unexpected, & is humbly grateful to be selected.”
The WBCA All-Star games raise funds for the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) through fundraising efforts led by the All-Star coaches & players.
