There’s no word yet on the status of Markus Howard for Marquette’s home game Saturday against DePaul.
Howard left Wednesday’s double-overtime win at Xavier after getting elbowed in face about eight minutes into the second half.
He scored 12 straight points for the Golden Eagles in the first half and finished with 18.
Coach Steve Wojciechowski said Howard had a bloody nose and “he’s just got a facial injury.”
He did not believe Markus suffered a concussion.
Howard is the nation’s leading scored at just over 28 points per game.
