A couple from Verona is said to be safe and uninjured after the crash of a small plane in central Colorado Monday.
The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office reports Tyler and Kristina Noel were in the plane which fell into a wooded area on the side of a mountain near Aspen when the built-in parachute deployed.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the F-A-A have been notified and teams have been sent to investigate.
