Vice President Mike Pence will be just a few feet away from the governor’s office today (Tuesday), but won’t receive a formal greeting from Wisconsin’s top elected official.
Pence is giving a speech in the rotunda of the state Capitol at an event celebrating the state’s school choice program.
Governor Tony Evers says he won’t be there.
Officials think this is the first time a sitting vice president – or president – has appeared inside the Capitol building.
