Two people are dead in a wreck involving a van and an 18-wheeler in Jefferson County.
Sheriff’s investigators say the truck driver lost control on westbound U.S. 18 near Hope Lake Road Friday night.
A van going eastbound hit the truck, killing the two people in the van.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
