Grow It Forward will no longer be operating as the management entity for the farmers market in Manitowoc.
Amber Daugs, the CEO of Grow It Forward explained that the board of directors decided against renewing their contract with the city to “expand the organization’s headquarters as a local food community center” instead of running the farmers market.
The contract expired on the 1st of the year, leaving the city now searching for new management of the market, which takes place on the parking lot owned by Briess Malt and Ingredients on Quay Street.
Grow It Forward had overseen the program for the past two seasons.
