The Minnesota Gophers women’s hockey team is back on top this week college poll, re-claiming the number-one ranking after Wisconsin’s loss to Bemidji State.
The teams have traded the highest ranking twice this season.
The loss to Bemidji State ended the Badgers’ 11-game winning streak.
That’s why voters gave the Gophers 10 first-place votes to just five for the Badgers. Wisconsin and Minnesota meet on the ice again a week from Friday.
That’s the next series for U-W since the team is off this weekend.
