The man accused of fatally shooting a former co-worker in Racine County is pleading not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide.
Troy Hoffman of New Berlin is charged in the December 26th killing of 40-year-old Chad Bickler in the Town of Norway.
Investigators say Bickler was seeing Hoffman’s girlfriend and she told authorities Hoffman texted her saying he was going kill Bickler.
The criminal complaint says Hoffman crashed into the woman’s car in Bickler’s driveway and they argued before he went into the house and starting shooting.
Bickler was found wounded on the kitchen floor and his dog was dead in a stairway.
Hoffman and Bickler had worked together, but Hoffman was recently fired
