The annual Christmas tree recycling program is underway in Sheboygan.
Those who reside in the City can put their tree out on the curb with their trash on their normal pick up day, and they will be taken away, saving you the time of having to do it yourself.
The trees will not be picked up in alleyways, only on the curb.
The Department of Public Works is reminding residents to make sure their tree is free of decorations and is NOT in a plastic bag.
This program will be in effect until the end of the month.
If you prefer to take care of your tree yourself, you can drop it off at the Resident Drop-Off site on New Jersey Avenue normally used for branches.
The trees will be ground into wood chips, which can be used by the public for free.
