A Manitowoc woman has died as a result of a crash in Milwaukee.
Initial reports indicate that the 27-year-old woman and her 28-year-old male passenger were struck at around 3:00 AM on Wednesday.
A second vehicle was traveling south on North 35th Street near West Congress Street at a high rate of speed when the 44-year-old male driver from Milwaukee lost control and crossed into the oncoming lane.
The Manitowoc woman died, while the male was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries.
The Milwaukee man did not have a valid driver’s license and was taken into police custody.
The crash is still under investigation and the victim’s names have not been released.
