28 People Donate Kidneys To Strangers During 2019

Wisconsin doctors say 28 people donated kidneys to strangers during 2019 – more than double the number from the year before. An even dozen were donated to strangers at U-W Hospital in 2018. The Madison hospital says it received its first non-directed donor 16 years ago and that happened an average of four times-a-year until 2018.
