Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales finds out later today (Wednesday) if he gets to keep his job.
Members of the Fire and Police Commission will vote on that during a special session after their regular meeting.
Morales took over the position after Chief Ed Flynn retired last year.
His contract ends next month.
Mayor Tom Barrett has said Morales has his support and the people of Milwaukee deserve to have the critical decision made.
