Madison police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting as a homicide.
Twenty-year-old Marcus Hamilton has been charged.
Investigators say they don’t know if Hamilton and the shooting victim knew each other and they are working to find out what led to the incident.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
Police say there were several people nearby when the shots were fired.
