The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA), Office of Student Life and the Black Student Union (BSU) is welcoming the community to join together for a celebration of Kujichagulia (pronounced COO-GEE-KA-JAH-LEE-AH), or self-determination, at UW–Green Bay’s annual Kwanzaa Celebration.
Kujichagulia, one of the seven principals of Kwanza, is the principle of self-determination and the right of persons to speak for themselves and decide their own destiny. All are welcome to attend regardless of background, faith or culture, as they celebrate the commonalities and values that bring us together rather than the differences that drive us apart.
The event will be held in the Phoenix Rooms, University Union on the Green Bay Campus, Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with free food and entertainment for all.
For more information about the event, contact the UWGB MESA office at 920-465-2022.
