The University of Wisconsin System is not going to add faculty members to its presidential search committee. Regents says they’re sticking with the nine people named to pick a replacement for President Ray Cross. Faculty members from all 13 U-W campuses wrote to regents, demanding a seat on the committee. Board of Regents President Drew Petersen says the current and former regents and administrators on the search committee have a diverse view that can help find a new system president. This is the first time no faculty or academy staff members will be involved in the search.
